NZEM NATIONAL GATHERING
Rotorua, Queen’s Birthday Weekend, June 5–7, 2010

If you're after a fun girls' weekend away including pampering, information and support, do we have the event for you!

As well as being able to mix and mingle with our very clued-up members, we will have four professionals to share their knowledge with us:

Drs Megan Ogilvie and Susannah O'Sullivan from Fertility Associates have confirmed their attendance and they will discuss diagnosis, management and fertility.

Dr. Andrew Shelling from Auckland University will also be coming. He founded this group and will be sharing with us the latest news in the research field.

I’ve also invited a speaker from Luna House in Christchurch to present a half day workshop offering a new and supportive understanding of menopause to we who have experienced it ‘out of time’. Please visit their website for more information about the work they do: www.lunahouse.co.nz.

Don’t worry, it won’t be a jam packed weekend of being talked to; there’ll be lots of time to get to know each other and enjoy the activities around Rotorua, as well as non-structured time for members to do their own thing. I’m especially looking forward to a treatment at Polynesian Spa. If you have other ideas you'd like to explore, do let me know.

We always have a great time when we get together and share our experiences and knowledge with each other. For a solid weekend, we forget about feeling 'different' and become part of a supportive community of women facing the challenges of early menopause/POF together.

I’m working really hard on getting financial assistance and I hope to heavily subsidise accommodation, food and activities. The more attendees we have, the more likely it is to be an even bigger and better event! So please email me at nzem.info@nzord.org.nz to register your interest.
